You've purchased your stainless steel electric skillet, now it's time to clean it. Listed below are a few common sense tips for cleaning your pan and extending the life of the skillet.

Fortunately most stainless cookware is very durable and requires little maintenance. Some manufacturers guarantee their products will not warp, crack, or dent, but you still must clean it after every use.

Removing water stains is quick and easy using a clean dry cloth. Rub the exterior of the skillet gently, and it will shine like new.

Keep some club soda handy to clean the pan. It cleans wonderfully and doesn't damage the skillet's interior or exterior.

Use a dash of vinegar to take care of any spots. The exterior of the skillet is not very easy to stain, but just in case, the white vinegar works well.

If you fry using grease, try mixing some luke warm water with ammonia. Be careful, remember to thoroughly rinse the pan before using it again.

Fortunately, most are dishwasher-safe. Use a mild dishwashing detergent just to be safe.

And, you shouldn't use any kind of steel wool on the skillet. You wouldn't want to scratch that sparkling surface.
