My wife has a quite subdued esthetic taste. As the picture of the unit is shot, it looked too "out there" for her taste. But we needed a new skillet as the 30+ year older Farber unit finally died.
I took a flyer and bought this. It is light years better than the old unit and my wife just loves this skillet. Me too.
Heat response is not quite as good as cooking with gas but it is very nice indeed.
